36 years of being our whipping boy
Last weekend was the Kansas game. You can imagine my absolute distress when I saw one of the freshmen in the hallway looking like this:
It says Arkansas, right? Unfortunately not. She decided her old family affiliation was more important than her school. This w00ttastic move angered the football gods greatly, causing me some indigestion and her a hard time from well, everyone.
After this moment I headed over to the band practice to listen to the Pride of All Nebraska warm up.
Is it wrong that I get goosebumps when I hear Hail Varsity?
Apparently peer pressure does work! Now Katie is where Husker gear and you can tell it is cold outside (no, it's because they are snuggling and under a coat you silly pervert). Also, I'm not entirely sure when this pictures was taken, I was into the game and someone grabbed my camera.
Nebraska won as well, even though it wasn't the prettiest thing ever (a safety 12 seconds in... I was getting Arizona State vibes).
One other thing, a frat/sorority block tried to start the wave in the 3rd quarter when we were up by 6. I was literally going to kill someone had they been successful. Needless to say, those houses are now on my shit list - particularly the guy in the middle who was the ring-leader.
