Husker Power
It's been a weekend of Husker Sports, starting with the Red-White Baseball Scrimmage. I love the Husker baseball team, and more importantly college baseball in general (much better than MLB). The fall Red-White series is a chance to see the team one last time before the spring.
Haymarket Park is where Nebraska plays its games - it's also a minor league ballpark. In the background is Memorial Stadium, the Haymarket District of downtown, the train yards and then the rest of downtown Lincoln. It's a beautfiul place to watch a ball game.
Alex Gordon rounds the bases after hitting the first home run of the series to deep left center.
Then it was on to the football game on Saturday. Nebraska was playing the Big XII Doormat that is Baylor. It was a huge get well soon game for the Huskers.
Stolee made it to his one game of the year and left in the third quarter, poor guy just can't get the football vibe going.
I hope me holding my camera shows up in his picture.
PongX is about to grab your head! Look out!
See the moment when a smile turns into a scowl.
Holy shit! Did Mindsmith come back from Canada for a game without telling us, or is this just a very good look-a-like?
Li'l Red performs a stunt with the cheerleaders.
Nebraska won 59-27 and Joe Dailey set passing records for yardage in a game for Nebraska. Unfortunately, the defense gave up 27 points to a shitty team. Should be an interesting game down in Manhattan this next weekend.
