Hollywood, Fantastic Four, Stan Lee and the Dodgers.... wheee!
I went to Los Angeles for a couple press events this past weekend. Got there around 10 am on Sunday, Whonder picked me up and took me to his place. Destroyer, Whonder and I grabbed some food at a little cafe and eventually drove to Anaheim to discover the Angels game was sold out! We then went and grabbed some booze and headed to Travicon and The Laa's place, where we taunted Travicon about his younger sister, got pizza, and sat in the hot tub. Quite the awesome time.
The next day I had a Sony event, got to play Shadow of the Colossus which is amazing. Can't say anything more than that, but you'll see more on that game in the future. Saw Ryan Schneider from Insomniac and made tentative plans to hit the Dodger game.
That night I met up with the Activision folks and hung out at this bar with Brent from Team Xbox. Activision showed us the trailer for an upcoming Marvel movie that looks pretty good, and footage of the game. There wasn't much food though, and Brent and I somehow went from going to Jack in the Box to going to Hollywood to go drinking.
Needless to say, it got a little hairy from there. We met some PR girls and also a girl wearing a "Not everything is flat in Nebraska" t-shirt. Jackpot.
Needless to say, getting up the next morning sucked. But what made it better was seeing Quake IV and Stan Lee. I then spent 70 bucks on a cab to Dodger Stadium. Met Ryan there and hung out, had an awesome time (even though the Dodgers lost, at least it was Green who beat them).
Got a cab to the airport and red-eyed to Chicago, then came home. Great weekend. And now its time to wrap up school.
