I'm 88.67% of the man I used to be
Still not feeling good, low energy and a severe sore throat. I have now gotten to the point where I have lost 21 pounds in the past 2 1/2 weeks. I've also only worked 20 hours in that time, lucky for me I have benefit hours ot cover everything so far. Though after today I'm a bit dry there.
Meh. Its nice to have the break, even if I don't feel very well during it.
Beermann stopped by today, good to see him. Gave me the Vincenzo's gift certificate - most excellent. I've now got money for the Oven, Vincenzo's and the movie theatres. Nifty, maybe I can regain some of the weight I lost... or maybe not :-D.

104 Degrees
Jesus. Two nights of 104 degree fevers. This sucks ass.
Doctor tomorrow.
Narnia: good. Though the line about Aslan was butchered, at the end of the film...
"Is he tame?"
"Tame, no, but he's good."
From the book, when Aslan is first discussed by the Beavers as being a Lion.
"He's a lion? Is he safe?"
"Safe? Of course he's not safe. But he's good."
If I butchered that myself, I apologize, don't feel like looking it up.

F is for Fantastically Fucked!
So this semester has been going relatively well considering a full-time management job, part-time writing position, additional freelance writing on top of that, full-time school and now an amazing girl in my life. I was struggling in one class, but figured getting a C was pretty possible with a 40% final and a lot of prep.
Everything was moving into position until today put things in limbo. The three homework assignments in the class are all pretty nasty, and are group assignments. The prof is somewhat of a nazi and we have to do things like sign a form saying we all proofread the paper.
Now of course, I looked over it, but I didn't double check calculations. Turns out a member of my group had failed the class in a previous semester, and reused an answer WITHOUT making sure all the variables had been changed.
STUPID. STUPID. STUPID.
Anyways, this 6.67% chunk of my grade is now up in there, plus the whole cheating implications etc. Whee! If I merely get a 0 on the assignment, I'll be looking at attempting to get a 80 or so on the final to pull a D.
Damn.
Hopefully, with two seniors that are attempting to graduate in my group, we'll get a little leeway and maybe just fail that part of the assignment. All in all, I just want a D, want the course done with and want to move on to next semester.

Time to settle 1997
Nebraska will play Michigan in the Alamo Bowl. If I didn't have to work/it was family reunion, I would go just because it's Michigan.
Dad: College football season is over except for the bowls.
Me: And I missed so much, I'm so sad.
Helen: At least college baseball is in a couple months.
Purrrrfect.
