Popping the desktop cherry
While it may seem incredible to many of my friends out there, I've never owned my own desktop computer. I've always been a laptop guy, and prior to that, only using a family PC. In four years I've done some significant damage to the two laptops I've had, with my current suffering from a hard drive that isn't doing too well and the unavoidable battery-drain.
Because of this, I sped up my plans to pick up a desktop. I had something in mind, but once I got going with some friends they moved me up into some higher end stuff. Anyways, it's an AMD 64 x2 3800+, a gig of DDR2, 250gb HDD, Geforce 7800, bluetooth keyboard/mouse and a nice 21" Gateway LCD to go with it all.
Should be fun to play with, and it'll allow me to rest the laptop more, especially once I get the new HDD and battery in.
Now about paying off my credit card... :-P
