Closure
The last night for my class at Kauffman was tonight. I spent the evening with three of my closest friends over my college career and had a great time. I wish I hadn't neglected these relationships in the past couple years, my career and development focus took away precious time.
Matt Johnson has been an incredible friend to me since our sophomore year in particular. He's one of the men who is nearest to my heart, and I will miss him greatly. He's heading to Microsoft to help save the world - and I look forward to making it to Seattle to visit.
I was sitting in my car listening to music and reflecting. I feel like my time in Lincoln may be coming to a close, rather unexpectedly. A lot of loose knots have been tied up in rather dramatic fashions. I sort of realized that some of my feelings revolve around having accomplished the objectives laid out for me here. I've completed every mission, learned what I needed to learn and its time to move along (that said, I'm hoping that I get a College World Series championship before I go.... heh).
It's almost that gaming mentality of "I've beaten this level and found its secrets, I've learned the moves, it's time to go somewhere more challenging."
I've learned to love, I've learned to suffer, I've learned hard work, I've learned to lead, I've learned humility, I've learned to shut-up, I've learned tolerance. Ultimately I'm so much more than I was 4 years ago at this time.
Thank you to all of those who have helped me along the way, there are too many names, you know who you are.
To Johnson, thank you for loving me unconditionally and supporting me in some difficult hours. You friendship has meant the world to me, I'm sorry if I didn't show that to you as much as I should have. I will miss you greatly, but I look forward to being friends for the rest of our lives.
-James
If I saw it all so clear, I'd write it down and bend your ear, if I were the clearer of the two.

Thanks for being such a great friend, James. Reading this made me think of all the things we did together. One thing that came to mind was the game of Diplomacy that we pwned in. Our alliance would have won one of us the game...if we'd finished. I think that somehow, oddly, that game parallels our lives.
