End of the Season
Here's my favorite pictures from today. These are emotional. I had tears in my eyes as Jeff Christy walked up and shook my hand, his eyes bloodshot and just worn down. I loved this team a lot, and I'm going to be sad not being there next year. Once again, if you want a high-res, let me know... click for better versions of all.
Jaros and Anderson walk back to the dugout after the loss.
Last team meeting on the field.
Jaros and the boys say hi to the families.
Perhaps my favorite photo and now my desktop background. If you want the high-res for your desktop, let me know and I'll get you the file.
Great face from Brett.
Nimmo heads to the clubhouse.
Opitz.
Christy gets a hug.
Gorsett heads in.
Jeff Christy took the loss hard. This guy might be my favorite Husker baseballer ever. His heart and desire won me over to him. I nearly cried when I saw him.
Opitz and Chirsty.
Thanks for everything Jeff... you will be missed.

The final game
Continued to play with the camera more at the ballpark today. We lost our second game and were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. Depressing to say the least. My hat's off to these guys... 80% of the team was freshman and sophmores... they've done a hell of a job.
Here's the photos, slightly higher-res versions on click through (but still a far cry from the raw stuff). If you do want a raw one, let me know (I'm quite fond of the Mike Anderson after the game).
Andy Brown is called out trying to steal third (sorry the picture is off center)
Andy Gerch tries to throw off the pitcher.
Edelfsen at the plate.
Nimmo takes a cut.
Celebrating our only run of the game.
Last time we may see Watson in a Husker uniform.
Opitz takes a swing.
Good luck Tony.
Last chance to see Jensen in Husker red.
Rally caps!
Check the second post for pictures of the post-game.

Pothole on the Road to Omaha
Fun day out at the park, even though Nebraska lost. I really love this new camera, these pictures are downscaled a lot, click on them for the 1/4 res version. All of this is taken from the third base berm.

Baseball Fever
The NCAA Baseball Tournament begins this weekend at 16 sites across the country. I'll be at one of them, Hawks Field at Haymarket Park. Getting down there around 10:30am to start drinking with some friends, first pitch is 1:05. Gotta remember sunscreen.
Will be taking the new camera out to the park and I hope to post some pictures here sometime tomorrow, we shall see though.
Go Big Red.
